10 Hidden Gems to Explore in Rensselaer County

From peaceful hiking trails to cool historical sites and unique local businesses, there's so much to explore. I put together a list of some of my favorite hidden gems in Rensselaer County that you should definitely check out.

1. Barberville Falls – Poestenkill

If you're in the mood for some fresh air and stunning scenery, Barberville Falls is the place. This 92-foot waterfall is tucked away in a nature preserve with hiking trails that lead you right to the falls. It's peaceful, beautiful, and perfect for a quick outdoor escape.

2. Hart-Cluett Mansion – Troy

History buffs, this one's for you. The Hart-Cluett Mansion is a gorgeous Federal-style home from 1827. The tours give you a glimpse into Troy's rich history, complete with period furnishings and some pretty impressive architecture. Plus, it makes for great Instagram photos!

3. Dickinson Hill Fire Tower – Grafton
